Church of Taxiarches
A 14th century, two-storey church with upper floor and a crypt. The sole existence of the crypt reinforces the argument that the church was initially a part of a monastery complex. After the conquest of Thessaloniki in 1430 by the Turks, it was turned into a mosque, which was named after the two upper terraces of its minaret (Iki Serife Mosque…Mosque of the two upper terraces)
