Panagia Theoskepastou Sohou Monastery
The imposing female monastery, located in the hillside of Vertiskos Mountain, was founded in 1994. It is dedicated to the Nativity of Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus. Every year, at the annual fair (8th September), it hosts the holy icon of Panagia Gorgoepikoou from Mount Athos attracting many pilgrims.
