Former Melissa Orphanage
The beautiful two-storey house, a typical example of eclecticism is built for Osman Ali Bey in 1913. Converted to Bulgarian Consulate in 1914, later housed the French Headquarters of the East Army in Thessaloniki and the Melissa Orphanage. It currently houses the Centre for Byzantine Research of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
