Castle of Platamonas
One of the finest and best preserved castles of Greece, Castle of Platamonas is castle - city of the Middle Byzantine period (10th century AD), built on the southeastern slopes of Mount Olympus, in a strategic position that controls the way through Macedonia, Thessaly and Southern Greece. It is open to visitors daily.
